Made in China, anyone?

I was surfing the internet one time and looking for possible suppliers of medical equipment when I stumbled upon loads and loads of products coming from China. Amazingly, I found at least 10 Chinese manufacturers of ultrasound and the same for ECG machines and patient monitors. They even produce MRI and CT equipment, yes..., the more expensive type of medical systems out there. There are hosts of medical supplies manufacturers too.

Is China really now invading all even high technology markets such as this medical equipment market? Are they really capable of producing high quality equipment critical to diagnosing diseases and, ultimately, saving lives?

Well, I am not sure... But looking closely, I found some chinese manufacturer websites sporting even the CE and FDA logos. Are they really able to sell their wares in the advanced and stricter markets in the USA and the European Union? If they are, then they must really be on to something. And yes, we can put into the equation that Chinese brands, even in other industries, are selling their wares almost always lower in price than those from other countries.

I wonder how the Philippine market will react to this Chinese invasion... Are Filipino doctors ready to accept the quality presented by Chinese manufacturers?
